“In dealing with the design of my site I tend to focus on the ways that I function with it as a tool, which in turn effects the design in broad ways without concern for its “style”. For instance I use a piece of wiki software as a content management system which allows me to rapidly modify works and note how they change over time using a history function. I think net artists tend to overlook the ways in which they can shorten the circuit of interaction between the “studio” and the “web” which for me can lead to new ways of working. This is obviously something that has happened with blogs and I think that blogs as a CMS for artists (surf clubs, et al) could be responsible for work’s form more than most would give credit.”
